Following the directive from the federal government of Nigeria, through the NCC, for all mobile users to link their NIN with their phone number, MTN has begun the process for this. Find below the process for doing this.

Step 1

• Dial *785# on the phone number you want to link with NIN

• On the next prompt, enter your NIN and submit

• The number will be linked to your NIN automatically

Step 2

• Alternatively, visit nin.mtnonline.com using your mobile phone or computer

• Enter the data requested such as Name, Phone Number, National Identity Number, and Email Address

• Then click on Submit

Using either of the steps enumerated above, you can link your NIN to your MTN phone number.

As a reminder, if you have forgotten your NIN even though you’ve already registered with NIMC, simply dial *346# to retrieve it.
