Internet service quality: We are all aware and have experienced how terrible internet service can be sometimes. And this can affect the bank when it is time to post the payment into our account.
Also, since your account page need to be refreshed/reloaded for the units to reflect, poor internet service may delay the reloading of your page and give the impression that the units have not been credited.
Wrong or incomplete username: We usually encourage that payments should include your username, especially through online transfer and cash deposit. But many times, alerts for such payments would show usernames that are either wrong or incomplete. We would not be sure of whom to credit.
No username: Alerts of payments that come with no username would make it hard to quickly know the SmartSMSSolutions account to credit.
Username not clearly written on the deposit slip (teller): If the username is not clearly written, the bank cashier may write a wrong username when posting the payment.
Human error: This can happen when the bank is posting, and sometimes we may err in crediting a different account and then needing to correct the error. For this we sincerely apologize.
Not all payment options are automated: Apart from payments via Quickteller (website and ATM machine), Paystack, and PayDirect, other payment options are not automated. This means there will be a delay. Automated payment options, however, can also experience delay due to poor internet service.
Please note, however, that the causes of delay explained above do not always occur. Hence, delay in crediting SmartSMSSolutions accounts is not a norm.
When you do experience a delay, kindly contact us and give us details of the payment, as contained in the debit alert you got for the payment.
